Chemical Structure:
H₂N–CO–NH–(CH₂)₃–Si(OCH₃)₃USi-9301 features a bifunctional molecular design:
- The trimethoxysilyl group hydrolyzes to form strong Si–O–substrate bonds with glass, silica, metals, and fillers
- The uramido (urea) group offers dual reactivity:
- Strong hydrogen bonding capability
- Reactivity with isocyanates, epoxies, and other amino-reactive polymers
- Unlike standard aminosilanes (e.g., APS), the urea moiety is less basic, reducing catalytic side reactions while enhancing flexibility and impact resistance at the interface
