Chemical Structure:
(H₃CO)₃Si–(CH₂)₃–NH–(CH₂)₃–Si(OCH₃)₃USi-B1301 features a central secondary amine group flanked by two hydrolyzable trimethoxysilyl moieties, delivering unique advantages:
- The secondary amine reacts rapidly and cleanly with free isocyanate (NCO) groups, forming a stable urea linkage without side reactions (e.g., allophanate or biuret formation)
- The dual silyl groups enable efficient moisture-cure crosslinking after application, forming a durable siloxane network
- Results in silane-terminated PU prepolymers that are:
- Colorless and low in viscosity — ideal for clear or pigmented formulations
