Chemical Structure:
H₂N–CH₂–CH₂–NH–(CH₂)₃–Si(OC₂H₅)₃USi-D1302 is engineered for maximum interfacial bonding:
- The primary amine (–NH₂) provides strong covalent bonding to epoxy resins, isocyanates, and acidic surfaces
- The secondary amine (–NH–) acts as a catalyst for moisture-cure reactions (e.g., in alkoxy-silane systems) and enhances adhesion to metals and glass
- The triethoxysilyl group hydrolyzes to form robust Si–O–substrate bonds with inorganic materials (glass, minerals, metals)
- Acts as a molecular bridge between organic polymers and inorganic substrates—dramatically improving bond durability under humidity, heat, and mechanical stress
