USi-401S18 is a homogeneous liquid formulation combining high-purity vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS) with a tailored catalyst system, eliminating the need for separate catalyst addition during compounding.
This “one-step” solution delivers:

🏭 How It Works: One-Step Silane Grafting & Crosslinking
- Extrusion: USi-401S18 is melt-blended with PE resin (e.g., LDPE, LLDPE) during extrusion
- Grafting: VTMS grafts onto polymer chains via free-radical reaction (aided by peroxide, if used)
- Crosslinking: After extrusion, exposure to moisture (steam/hot water) triggers hydrolysis and condensation → 3D network formation
- Result: Thermoset-like PE-Xb with thermoplastic processability
