📄 Product Description
USi-402 is a vinyl-functional alkoxysilane that bridges organic polymers and inorganic substrates through covalent bonding. Its triethoxysilyl group hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture to form reactive silanols, which condense with hydroxylated surfaces (e.g., glass, metals, minerals), while the vinyl group participates in free-radical polymerization or grafting reactions.
Compared to methoxy analogs (e.g., VTMS), VTES offers:
- Slower hydrolysis rate → better formulation stability
