📄 Product Description
USi-403 is a specialty alkoxysilane featuring one polymerizable vinyl group and three isopropenyl ether (isopropenyloxy) groups. Unlike conventional alkoxy or acetoxy silanes, it does not release water, alcohol, or acid during crosslinking. Instead, it undergoes thermal or peroxide-initiated condensation, making it ideal for:
- One-component RTV silicone systems requiring long shelf life
- High-purity applications where volatile byproducts are unacceptable
- Hydroxyl scavenging to prevent premature curing in moisture-sensitive formulations
Its unique structure enables dual functionality:
